Everyday Makeup Routine

Happy Friday! I hope you've all had an awesome week. My Friday is off to a great start so far, I was able to sleep in today since I have the day off from work and I have a three-day weekend which I'm super excited about! Do you have any special plans for this Easter weekend? Let me know down in the comments below.

Days off are my favorite because I get to have the day to myself and do the things I don't normally have time for. On the agenda for this morning I've planned to eat a healthy breakfast then head to the gym for a kick-ass workout after that I plan on stretching my muscles by doing a bit of yoga and finishing off with a ten minute meditation. After all of that is done I plan on getting ready for the day which of course includes me doing my makeup.

As of lately I've been more into minimal and natural makeup. I like that it's much quicker and doesn't require too many products. This has been my everyday makeup routine for the past week or so and I'm really enjoying it so far.

STEP NO. 1 - SKIN PREP
I always begin with clean and prepped skin before applying makeup. Starting by wash my face with my daily cleanser then toning the skin using my toner with a cotton pad and lastly apply moisturizer all over my face.

STEP NO. 2 - EVEN OUT THE BASE
I've switched over to using a skin tint rather than a foundation because as I mentioned I've been more into natural makeup these days however I do spot conceal my blemishes and hyper-pigmentation using concealer. I start by spot concealing first then go in with the skin tint and I use a damp beauty sponge to apply and blend both liquid products. To set the liquids I powder my t-zone and other areas where I get oily using a small tapered brush.

STEP NO. 3 - BRING SKIN TO LIFE
After applying my base, my skin looks flat and one dimensional so I like to go in with these three products to bring me back to life. I personally like to use a pressed powder, that's a few shades darker than me, as a bronzer and I use a dense buffing brush to apply it (I never use swiping motions, only patting motions), then finish by applying blush to my cheeks and highlight to my cheekbones.

STEP NO. 4 - WAKE UP THE EYES
A lash curler and a little bit of mascara is just the trick to make your eyes look wide awake. I personally like to use waterproof mascara because it holds the curl of my lash, I'll sometimes go in with falsies if I'm feeling extra sassy (and if I have the time).

Lashes depend on how sassy I'm feeling that day

STEP NO. 5 - ADD THE FINISHING TOUCHES
For the final steps I add a tinted brow gel to my brows and then apply a tinted lip balm to my lips to help keep them hydrated throughout the day while also adding a hint of color.

EYEBROW + LIP PRODUCTS:
Essence Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel in Browny Brows 02 • Available here

Those are all the steps I take along with all of the tools and products that I use for my everyday makeup routine. All of this takes me about 5-10 minutes to complete, it's super simple anyone can do this and it's a quick and easy way to look put together. I hope you enjoyed today's blog post, wishing you all a Happy Easter and a great weekend. Until next time friends, take care!
