The month of love is right around the corner and with that comes Valentine's Day-themed fun. Some girlies go all out and decorate their homes, and other spaces, for me, it's my nails!
So today I'm sharing nail inspo for the pink and red colored holiday along with a video of how to get these nails and a list of products and links too.
I've been doing my own nails for years, so when I get an Olive & June package at my door, I get super excited because I know there's going to be good stuff inside for me to try!
If you're unfamiliar with Olive & June, they're a cruelty-free and vegan company that creates salon-quality nail products at affordable prices. Their polishes are formulated without harsh toxic chemicals, come in an array of beautiful shades, and are long-lasting.
Today I'm sharing the goodies I received and linking them if you'd like to check them out for yourself.
Thank you to Olive & June for sending over this package, I'm forever grateful. And thank you for visiting this blog post, I appreciate it so very much.
I'm back at it with another get-ready-with-me-to-go-to-the-grocery-store type of post. It truly feels like I'm at the grocery store almost every day, it's my second home at this point. Haha! But honestly, I'm not complaining, going to H-E-B is one of my favorite errands to run.
What's your favorite place to run errands? I feel as though Target is going to be one that's up there on most people's lists.
One night while scrolling on TikTok I came across a new fashion trend the girlies are doing and that is taking inspiration from the pantless outfits seen on the trendsetters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner.

That's right the girlies are going PANTLESS! Honestly when I first saw this trend I thought: Bold. Liberating. Fun. But I could never.
The thought of going out in public in what is seemily just underwear or a bodysuit is way too terrifying for me personally, so I thought why not put my own spin on this trend and still go pantless but in a way where I feel somewhat comfortable.
My approach when trying this trend was to indeed go pantless however, instead of wearing only a bodysuit or underwear, to wear an oversized sweater that could pass as a dress over the underwear/bodysuit.
Now I don't know what your thoughts are but I think this counts as I was indeed pantless, so technically I did follow the trend. Haha!
Anyway, this was my attempt at trying the pantless trend. I'd love to know your thoughts on this trend. Let me know what your thoughts on this trend by leaving a comment on this blog post or on my socials.
On Saturday I went to go see Avatar: The Way of Water and I shared the getting-ready process on my socials so today I'm sharing the links to the comfy and casual outfit I wore as well as a very brief review of the movie, with no spoilers, obvi.
As I was getting ready to go to the theatre, I was a little anxious about the length of the movie, considering it was a little over 3 hours long. But I'm so thankful that we went to Star Cinema Grill where you can order food and drinks at any moment during the movie because it made the experience so much better and eased my anxiety a lot. Also, their seats can recline for max comfort and you get a blanket to keep you warm.
When the movie started I was expecting to lose interest at some point over the course of the three hours because that happened when I watched the first Avatar. But to my surprise, I was captivated from the moment it started to the moment it ended. The visuals were so good, the 3D experience didn't feel uncomfortable, and the storyline held my attention. I did cry once or twice which is a sign of a good movie for me lol and not once did I check my phone or wondered how much longer till the movie was over, which again is a good sign.
If you're hesitant about watching Avatar: The Way of Water, let this be your sign to go watch it! My only advice is to make sure the theatre you choose is one with comfortable seats and if you know you'll need a meal while watching go to a dine-in theatre.
Today on my socials I shared a video of my outfit for running a quick errand to the grocery store and I'm linking the outfit details here on the blog because I'm really trying to have links to everything I share on my socials here on my blog for easy accessibility.
That's one of my goals this year! So here I am attempting to keep that goal, haha!
As of lately, my go-to makeup look has been super minimal. I'm talking no falsies kind of minimal which the old me couldn't even imagine doing makeup without throwing on a lash of some sort.
This is honestly, the most minimal my makeup routine has ever been, which actually works really well when I need to get somewhere quick and want to look put together.
So in this post, I thought I'd share my current go-to makeup routine that doubles as a quick makeup look because it can be done in 10 minutes or less.
In my previous blog post, I shared a closer look and review of my new bag from Portland Leather Goods. Today I'm sharing the things I carry around in my bag on a regular basis and just for fun what all I could fit in my bag if I wanted to completely fill it up.
I've always been more of a visual person so I created a video of what's in my bag/what I could fit in my bag so watch the video below to take a look!
First and foremost, happy new year! I hope you're all having a great start to 2023. My new year started off a little rocky, as talked about in this post, but I'm happy to report that things are starting to look up.
But anyway, a few days into the new year I received a package at my door, and in it was this beautiful leather bag from Portland Leather Goods that is now my everyday tote bag, and I want to share a closer look at the bag, details about it, and my honest review with you in this post!
Let's start with the details, shall we!
This bag is the Mini Crossbody Totefrom Portland Leather Goods and it's available in 12 different colors and finishes (Pebbled or Smooth) and in two styles (Classic or Zipper).
I chose the bag in the style classic and in the color/finish pebbled black because I liked the textured and overall look of the classic style. The minimalistic design of this bag makes it timeless, easy to style, and wearable for any occasion; day or night.
It's made entirely of 100% genuine leather sourced sustainably here in the U.S. for max durability and the interior is unlined showcasing the natural suede of the hide. Now because the purse is made up of only leather it's ensured to last a lifetime.
The bag features a large exterior pocket for easy accessibility, interior snap closure, and a removable crossbody strap that extends from 38 to 45 inches (crossbody strap extenders are sold separately if a longer strap is needed), giving you the option to wear it as a top handle bag, crossbody, or shoulder bag.
Let's start with the good. The size is perfect for my daily essentials. I can fit quite a lot in it, in fact, I plan on sharing a what's in my bag style video to showcase what all is in my bag and how much I can fit in it to give you a visual demonstration. As far as the design goes, I love that it's minimalistic because it makes the bag timeless meaning it will never go out of style, it's easy to style with different outfits, and in my opinion, it's wearable for any occasion; day or night. I appreciate the versatility of the adjustable and removable strap because as I mentioned earlier, it gives me the option to wear it as a top handle, crossbody, or shoulder bag. The fact that it's made up entirely of sustainable durable leather to ensure it lasts a lifetime is a huge plus because this year I really want to care for items that have longevity in them and I feel as though this bag is really going to be one of those items that I hold onto and wear for many years to come.
Now onto the not-so-good. The first thing I noticed as soon as I took it out of the packaging was that it had a very strong scent that I felt overpowered the room, my husband on the other hand, disagreed. Keep in mind we both had COVID at the time of receiving this bag and I know the COVID virus can mess with one's sense of smell so I'm not sure if that had something to do with it. But I can say that as of right now, the scent is much fainter. The second thing is that the dye on the leather transfers a little as I noticed some staining on the soft pink silicone case of my AirPods that I carry around inside the purse. However, I was aware of the possibility of this happening because of the info card included in the packaging of the bag. With that said, the color transfer is sure to stop once the bag is fully worn in.
Those are my final thoughts on the Mini Crossbody Tote from Portland Leather Goods. I'd love to know, have you tried any products from this brand? Let me know in the comments of this blog post or on any of my socials.
