As I was scrolling on TikTok I came across this video here where I learned a new overnight heatless curl hack so I, of course, had to try it and share if it works or not!
So I followed the tutorial to the best of my ability, although I have to say that (for me) it wasn't as easy as it looked in the video. Haha! It definitely took me a few tries to get them as tight as possible but even then it wasn't tight enough to last throughout the night (you'll see what I'm talking about if you watch my TikTok below).
I shared the results in my TikTok video below so hit the play button to see the end results of this hair hack!
As you saw, my first time trying the hack I had some trouble and didn't wrap my hair very well so it loosened up a lot while I slept and as a result, my bangs didn't turn out as curled as I'd like. However, I gave it a second shot the following night and did a better job at wrapping my hair in the socks, in doing so my hair actually stayed in place throughout the night, which then lead to fantastic results the following morning!
Overall, I do think this hack works, however, it does take a bit of a learning curve. But once you get it down, it's easy and effective. I definitely recommend giving this hair hack a try!
If there's ever a time for effortless outfits, it's summertime! With sunny summer days comes crazy hot temperatures and all I personally want to wear are airy, comfortable, and breathable outfits. So if you're anything like me in this regard, this post is for you!
Here are three effortlessly easy summer outfits that are comfortable to wear in the summer heat day and night.
Flowy dresses are the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of an ideal summer outfit. This dress is so light and airy and available in several other colors. It has adjustable tie-shoulder straps, underlining, and stretchy shirred fabric in the back. Best of all this dress is only $18 (or about $15 with my 15% off discount). I styled this dress with minimalsandal slides, a straw bag for a beachy look, and gold-framed sunglasses.
I know wearing black isn't always the go-to color of choice in summer since it can be a little spicy but not when it's the right fabric! This little black dress is 100% cotton so it's lightweight and breathable - ideal for hot weather. It's available in several other colors and is only $21 (or around $18 with my 15% off discount)! I like that it has elastic throughout so it's very stretchy. Here I styled it with simple black sandal slides and a straw bag.
Another amazing thing about this dress is that the sleeves can be worn off the shoulder for a totally different look! Here I dressed up this dress with simple strap sandal heels, the same straw bag, and triple hoop earrings.
Long sleeves are a bit of a juxtaposition in the summer but again, the fabric on this top is ideal. It's very lightweight and somewhat sheer which allows for airflow and I love that it's oversized and roomy for added comfort. Here I styled it with a black bralette, a pair of loose-fitting denim shorts, lots of gold jewelry, and oval gold-framed sunglasses. The shoes aren't pictured but a simple pair of black sandal slides would pair very well with this outfit.

Am I the only one who thinks that decorating a space is a never-ending process?
In my case, I feel as though no matter how 'done' I think I am when decorating a room in my home, I somehow tend to find things that catch my attention every now and again when I'm out shopping in-store or browsing online.
Well, this happened earlier this month when shopping in-store at my local TJ Maxx I found a lovely plant pot with a stand. The pot pant is a beautiful pale pink color and the wooden stand is a nice mahogany tone. The minute I saw it I knew the perfect spot for it!
After bringing it home I went back and forth on whether to put a real plant or faux plant in the pot and ultimately decided to go with a real plant because they're more affordable, they provide several benefits, and I have a green thumb so I know I can care for it. The plant I purchased is a Foxtail Fern.
Then last week when browsing on Target.com I found a beautiful arched floor-length mirror that was on sale! I'd been wanting a full-length mirror for my office for quite a while, and this one popped up at the right time. Outfit selfies are going to be a regular occurrence now that I have this mirror in my workspace!
And just a few days ago, I found these faux plants and candles in the clearance aisle of my local grocery store and they matched the decor aesthetic that I have in my office perfectly. It's as if I were meant to take them home with me, haha!

Here are the three shades I received, however, there is a total of 12 shades in the Vice Lip Bond collection. They are vegan formulated, cruelty-free, and each glossy liquid lipstick retails for $25 USD.
These lip products have the staying power of a liquid lipstick, with up to 16-hour wear and no budging but with the shine of a gloss. The formula is smudge-proof, transfer-proof, and food + water resistant, yet lightweight and comfortable.
Each liquid lipstick is highly pigmented with intense color for a one-swipe application. To apply these first shake it for about 5 seconds to activate the color, then apply and let dry. The longer you allow the lipstick to dry and set the better it wears.
See the swatches below of the lip colors in both indoor lighting and outdoor lighting.
PDA is a medium brick red // Cuffed Up is a bright baby pink // Pleased is a neutral burnt coral
Below are three different looks that I created to complement each lip color!

LA Girl Cosmetics Concealer in Peach Corrector • Available here
I've struggled with acne for nearly a decade and can understand firsthand how frustrating it can be to cover it up, not to mention the insecurity there can be around it. And something that has always helped me feel better about my acne and acne scars has been makeup!
Over the years I've tried several techniques and have finally found a base routine that works, covers, and wears all day long. So in this blog post, I'm sharing my personal base makeup routine to cover acne and hyperpigmentation, and I've included a video tutorial, step-by-step instructions, and the makeup products I used.
1. Apply a peachy-toned color corrector over any acne/hyperpigmentation to cancel discoloration and blend using tapping motions.
2. Stipple your foundation of choice onto the skin with a dense brush, like this elf Buffing Foundation Brush, over areas where the color corrector was applied to keep the color of the corrector and coverage in place. Once the foundation has been applied all over, take a damp beauty sponge and gently bounce it on the skin to help blend away any brush strokes the brush might have left behind and to pick up any excess foundation.
3. When applying cream/liquid concealer, bronzer, blush, or highlight, use the same stippling technique then follow with a damp sponge to further blend.
4. Once all liquid/cream products have been applied to the skin take a setting spray and set the face. My favorite is the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray because it's been proven to work in my 12HR wear test.
5. After the setting spray has fully dried, set the skin once more with a translucent setting powder. Lightly press the setting powder into the skin using a dry sponge. This will further lock in the makeup and mattify the skin a bit as well.
6. When applying powder bronzer and blush use stippling motions for maximum coverage or use sweeping motions with very light pressure.
7. Set powder products in place once more with a setting spray. This step will help with any powderiness from using powder products and will leave the skin with a natural finish.
8. This step is optional because I know not everyone likes to apply a highlighter because it can emphasize texture. But if you choose to apply your choice of highlight onto the skin. My recommendation for application is to gently pat the product onto the skin using your finger if using a cream/liquid formula. And if using a powder formula sweep the product into place with a brush making sure to use light pressure.
