10 Halloween Makeup Costume Ideas

The Halloween inspiration continues in today's post where I share ten Halloween makeup costume ideas that don't quite require a costume, just makeup!

This route is perfect for those who'd rather pick up a makeup brush, get creative, and wear cosmetic art as a costume.

I've done this for several years when I didn't want to or couldn't spend money on a costume or when there was a last-minute Halloween festivity and I didn't have a costume planned. Either way, taking this route is a fantastic alternative.

The looks featured in this post were gathered from Pinterest and with most if not all, you can essentially wear whatever you'd like since the makeup is the costume and the focal point.

I think the spider detail on this makeup look is so cool and fun, you can essentially do whatever eyeshadow look you want so long as you add the spider detail.

Clown makeup is a classic Halloween look and has so many approaches from super pretty and glam to super creepy and gory. Even when it comes to colors, you can do a playful and colorful clown or go the complete opposite route and make it dark and eery. The creative possibilities for this one are endless.

Fairy makeup is so pretty and delicate which I love, but of course, creativity liberty is yours for the taking so your fairy can be as delicate or as edgy as you'd like.

Twilight had a major comeback this year so taking some inspo from the vampires in the film would be so fun as well or you can take the timeless route and recreate a classic vampire look.

Another Halloween classic is Wednesday Addams from The Addams Family, but feel free to take inspiration from the rest of the Addams family members like Morticia and others.

The iconic witch is a great Halloween makeup costume, with several variations of the makeup you can get really creative and have lots of fun with this one.
