Travel Bucket List

"The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page" - St. Augustine

Traveling is something that I absolutely love to do, it's so much fun exploring new places and experiencing different cultures and lifestyles. I believe traveling is very important to grow, to learn, to broaden your horizons and to take you out of your comfort zone. I know that not everyone has the opportunity to do so, but if you do, book that plane ticket!

Today I want to share the top ten travel destinations on my bucket list.

No. 1 - Alberta, Canada

When I think of Canada I think of it's breathtaking landscapes and national parks. I feel there's no better place to feel connected with Mother Nature than in Alberta, Canada. Here are some of the places I'd like to visit when I travel to Alberta: Banff National Park, Jasper National Park, Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, and Yoho National Park.

No. 2 - California

The Golden State has been on my travel bucket list for as long as I can remember. I've always wanted to experience the laid-back California style and their infamous 'perfect' weather. Here are some of the places I'd visit when I fly out to the west coast: San Fransisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Yosemite National Park and Lake Tahoe.

No. 3 - Greece

The beautiful blue water and scenery found in Greece is absolutely mesmerizing and picture perfect! The islands of Greece would make a great honeymoon or anniversary destination as well. I would love the visit either Santorini, Athens or Mykonos.

No. 4 - Paris, France

Love and romance are the first thing that come to mind when I think of Paris, France. I feel like Paris is on almost everyones travel bucket list and for good reason, it has an array of museums, impeccable architecture and endless sightseeings.

No. 5 - New York City, New York

If I remember correctly, the city that never sleeps was the very first city on my list of places I'd like to visit. Let me add that this was many years ago when I was obsessed with the TV show Gossip Girl which made NYC look like the most fabulous place on Earth [and so did Sex and the City]. Since then lots of places have been added to my list, as you can see, but this city remains.

No. 6 - Miami, Florida

When I think of Miami I think of Latin culture, turquoise beaches, sunshine and nightlife. Not only is this on my bucket list because it's my husbands hometown but because as a Latina I'd love to experience a taste of Cuban culture in the Sunshine State and of course to lay out on the beach while catching some rays!

No. 7 - Las Vegas, Nevada

Yet another place on almost everyones bucket list, Las Vegas. Nightlife is all that Vegas is about, with countless shows to see, five-star foods to eat and an insane amount of activities you'd never run out of things to do which is why I think a weekend getaway to Sin City would be so much fun!

No. 8 - Bora Bora, French Peninsula

One word comes to mind when I think of Bora Bora and that word is paradise. Crystal clear waters and peaceful mountainous backgrounds make this place one of the prettiest photographable places on Earth. Being in Bora Bora seems like I'd be absolutely heavenly and I hope to visit this breathtaking place before my time on this planet is up.

No. 9 - Tokyo, Japan

Japanese culture fascinates me so much which is why the busy city of Tokyo is on my bucket list. Meeting kind people, seeing the cherry blossoms in full bloom, taking in Tokyo fashion and walking through their beautiful temples, shrines and gardens would be an amazing sight to see.

No. 10 - Machu Picchu, Peru

Lastly on my bucket list is the challenging Machu Picchu. I've been told that making your way up to the citadel is not an easy task but very well worth it. There is so much history in this region of Peru no wonder it's one of the new seven wonders of the world. I believe that visiting this sanctuary would be like taking a trip back in time. // Click here for a guide on the best time to visit Machu Picchu!

There are still so many places on my bucket list that I'd like to share however if I did it all in this blog post I'd be way too long, haha! Perhaps I could make a part two once I've visited a couple of these places.

Thank you for reading todays blog post and learning about where I'd like to travel. Remember, traveling is the only thing you buy that makes you richer, so if you can, explore the world! Until next time friends, take care.
