Keto-Friendly Pizza Recipe

On Tuesday afternoon I got together with my cousin and we spent the afternoon catching up on life, creating content for our blogs, and cooking this delicious keto-friendly pizza! If you have no idea what 'keto' [a.k.a. ketogenic diet] means, no worries...I didn't either until just yesterday. While catching up, my cousin mentioned that she's been on the ketogentic diet for almost three weeks now and during that time she's had to introduce new recipes into her life that abide by her new lifestyle. Out of those recipes this pizza recipe was one she shared with me so today I'm sharing it with you.

This recipe is simple to prepare and takes minimal time to cook; which is perfect if you're short on time. Not only does this pizza contain way less carbs than traditional pizza but it tastes great too! I hope you give this recipe a try if you do please let me know your thoughts in the comments. Until next time friends, take care!

INGREDIENTS

  • Almond Meal/Flour [¾ cups]
  • Mozzarella Cheese [1½ cups]
  • Cream Cheese [2 tbsp]
  • One Egg

DIRECTIONS

  • Preheat oven to 420℉
  • Combine 2 tbsp of cream cheese and 1½ cups of mozzarella cheese in a bowl and microwave for 1 minute
  • Take the mixture out of the microwave and stir the two ingredients together before placing it back into the microwave for an additional 30 seconds
  • Take the mixture out of the microwave for the final time and mix

  • Add one egg into the mixture and mix together until it becomes dough-like
  • Run hands under water then take your pizza dough and flatten the dough into a circle on a round pan with parchment paper
  • Poke the entire pizza dough with a fork before putting it into the oven to reduce air pockets
  • Place the dough in the oven for 10 minutes
  • Take the pizza dough out of the oven, add sauce, cheese and any other toppings you'd like
  • Place back in the oven for about 3 minutes or until the cheese has completley melted
  • Serve and enjoy!
