A food-related blog post is very long overdue so today I'm writing about what I eat on a typical day.
For the most part, I try and eat healthily but I definitely have days when I indulge in my favorite foods like pizza and cupcakes. I'd say about 70% of what I eat is healthy and nutritious and about 30% is unhealthy junk food.
I try my best to prepare home-cooked meals to help keep me on track throughout the workweek. But weekends are usually the days my husband and I eat out and enjoy the foods we don't normally eat which is where that 30% comes in, haha.
On this particular day, I ate a lot of my favorite healthy and nutritional meals. The meals featured in this post I eat regularly and almost daily during the workweek because I am very much a creature of habit and it's no different when it comes to what I eat.
With that said let's get into what I eat in a day!
8:00 AM - For breakfast, I had my usual breakfast taco which consists of seasoned scrambled egg whites and spinach on an Ezekiel tortilla. The seasonings/sauces I use to flavor the eggs are red pepper flakes, Everything Bagel Seasoning, and Cholula hot sauce. On this day I had my taco with a probiotics drink but this varies from day to day sometimes I have a glass of orange juice or plain water.
11:00 AM - Because I exercise regularly I was advised by my fitness trainer to have a protein shake between meals to help supplement my body. This plant-based chocolate protein powder from Orgain {linked here} is my absolute favorite, it's like drinking a dessert it's so yummy. I mix it with water and drink up!
2:00 PM - For lunch, I had a turkey taco salad which consisted of ground turkey seasoned with taco seasoning mix, canned black beans, fresh green onions, tomato, and avocado on a bed of spring mix greens. To give the salad an extra bit of flavor I squeezed half a lime over top.
5:00 PM - Around this time I have my second and final protein shake of the day.
8:00 PM - For dinner, I took half of the ground turkey and black bean mixture from lunch and used it as stuffing for some oven-baked bell peppers. I topped the stuffed bell pepper with chopped tomatoes and lime juice for freshness and extra flavor.
Now, as far as beverages go I usually have water with my lunch and dinner if not that then I'll have a glass of lightly sweetened ice tea if I'm really craving it. But I do make sure that water is my primary source of hydration and that I'm drinking a lot of it throughout the day to help keep me feeling full between meals.
So those are the meals that I had on this particular day. If there are any recipes you'd like to share with me, feel free to leave a comment or leave a link to them in the comments section of this blog below.
I hope you enjoyed today's post. Thank you for visiting my blog today, I appreciate you more than you'll ever know. Until next time friends, take care.
Over the last few months or so I've been working on building a morning routine that works for me and my needs and after months of trial and error, I've at last found the morning routine that's most efficient!
In this blog post, I'm sharing my morning routine as well as bonus content, a morning routine video, which you can watch below if you prefer to do that instead, that shows me actually going through my routine.
Let me start off by saying that I am not a perfect human and I certainly have days when I snooze the alarm one too many times or don't make my bed because I'm too unmotivated to do so. But I do try my best to stick to this routine during my Monday-Friday workweek because it helps me stay productive, on schedule, and on top of work tasks.
On weekends, I do allow myself to take it easy and sleep in if I feel like my body needs extra hours and I also tend to do less work during these days.
Now with that said, here is what my typical workweek morning routine consists of.
I usually wake up within the 7:00-7:30 AM time window. When I get out of bed, I'm greeted by my dog Loki, who is more times than not, laying on the floor waiting for me to get up. I then head straight into the bathroom where I brush my teeth.
After brushing my teeth, I drink some cold water from my insulated water bottle, then I work on making the bed. I like to make my bed because I love having a neat and tidy space which leads to the next thing in my routine, which is to pick up any clothes, shoes, or miscellaneous items around my bedroom and place them back where they belong.
Once my bedroom is looking nice and clean, I throw on some athleisure to take my dog on a walk. Depending on how busy my mornings are I will either take him for a walk in the mornings or in the evenings so this part of my routine varies, however, the next step of my routine I do whether or not I take him on a walk in the mornings.
When Loki and I come home from our walk it's around 8:00 AM and I get started on making breakfast. Loki will either get fed before or after I eat breakfast, either way, he doesn't seem to mind.
After breakfast is done, my supplements have been taken, and the dog has been fed. I then start on what I like to call a quick home cleanup. This usually starts in the kitchen with the dishes and ends in me picking up little things left out of place throughout the house, like shoes, clothes, keys, and so on (mainly things left out by my dear husband lol). I like to set a timer for about 20 minutes for this part to help with time management and to keep me on schedule.
Once the house is tidy enough, I try my best to journal. This is the part of my routine that I'm admittedly still struggling to be consistent with. My last journal entry was a little over a week ago on August 30th. But when I do journal, I like to write down what I'm grateful for, what I'm looking forward to, my intentions for the day, and my manifestations.
Then depending on what I have scheduled to do for work on said date will determine whether or not I get fully done up- makeup, hair, and outfit. If it's a day when I'm batching content like filming videos and taking photos I will then start to get ready before starting my workday.
But if I'm sitting at my computer editing content, working on emails, or writing blog posts, captions, etc. I'll skip the makeup and just throw on a cute outfit and do something simple to my hair instead, then start working.
My workday starts between 9:30 AM - 10:00 AM and that ends what I call my morning routine.
All in all, I've found that this routine helps me optimize my productivity before starting work. And most importantly, I feel like it gives me me-time to do things I enjoy like getting out and taking in some fresh air during Loki and I's morning walks, listening to things that bring me joy, tidying my space for mental clarity, and journaling for introspection.
If you've been thinking about wanting to start a morning routine or any routine for that matter, let this be your sign to start!
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed reading about and/or watching my morning routine. Thank you for taking some time out of your day to visit my blog, I appreciate you more than you'll ever know. Until next time friends, take care!
Earlier last week I received a surprise PR package from Urban Decay and in this post, I'm unboxing the package with you and sharing the details on what's inside.
The first thing I noticed in the box was the Hydromaniac Tinted Glow Hydrator Foundation. This foundation claims to give the skin 24-hour hydration, coverage, and glow while providing a smooth and blurring effect. The vegan formula includes ingredients like kombucha filtrate and marula oil to nourish the skin and seal in hydration. It's also non-comedogenic and suitable for all skin types.
This foundation comes in a plastic squeeze tube with twist-on cap packaging. It retails for $29 USD and there is a total of 12 shades available.
I was sent the shade 40 Light Medium and it's a warm light-medium tone that I find leans more orange than it does yellow. The coverage is medium but buildable, leaves a skin-like finish, and feels lightweight.
Next in the box was a 24/7 Shadow Stick. This eyeshadow stick is vegan formulated and designed to provide 24-hour high-impact color with just one swipe. It's highly pigmented and glides on smoothly with long-lasting water-proof color that won't fade, smudge, or transfer.
The packaging comes with a built-in sharpener for a precise application each time. There are a total of 14 shades ranging from everyday neutrals to bold and vibrant colors and three finishes - matte, shimmer, and metallic. Each shadow stick retails for $26 USD.
I was sent the shade Fishbowl and it's a matte pale sky-blue. Here is me testing to see if the Shadow Stick was actually fade, smudge, and transfer-proof. Spoiler Alert: it passed the test!
That's all that was inside this surprise PR box. Now I can't wait to play with these new products and create a look using them.
Which product would you be most excited to try? Let me know down in the comments section of this blog post below!
Thank you to Urban Decay for the complimentary products.
Most importantly, thank you, for taking some time out of your day to be here. I appreciate you more than you'll ever know! Until next time friends, take care.

Floor Length Off The Shoulder A-Line Dress - I'm wearing this dress in a size US 6 and in the color Dark Green. This dress is currently on sale for just under $40 (the regular price is $66) and it's outstanding. The satin-like fabric makes this dress look so elegant, beautiful, and timeless, it feels high-quality, the zipper back closure worked well and zipped up smoothly, and the fit was perfect. This dress is available in 5 colors.
Mermaid Sequin Evening Dress - I'm wearing this dress in a size US 6 and in the color Black. This dress is currently on sale for just under $60 (the regular price is $80) and it's simply fabulous. The dress has dazzling sequins, romantic tulle, and a deep V neckline detail. Just like the first dress, this one also feels high quality, the zipper closure in the back had no issues, the sequin was not itchy at all, and it fit like a glove. This dress is available in 4 colors.

With my 28th birthday being tomorrow, I'm looking back and sharing memorable moments from my 27th year of life with you here in this blog post as well as on my YouTube channel.
If you prefer to watch a video of me sharing these memorable moments, I've included my YouTube video below.
A fun little fact about me, for my astrology lovers: My zodiac sign is Virgo, my sun sign is Virgo, my rising sign is Virgo, and my moon sign is Pisces. Comment your zodiac sign in the comments section of this blog post, below.
Here are a few of my most memorable moments from 27, in order by date.
October 27, 2020 - I got my third lobe piercing on this day and this was actually done in collaboration with Rowan, an ear-piercing company that offers at-home piercing services. A licensed nurse came to my house and did this for me and now I have it as a souvenir to remind me of this fun partnership.
December 12, 2020 - Going to the gun range here in the state of Texas is not unusual and quite normal as most Texans own and carry guns. But this was my very first time holding a gun, let alone shooting a gun, and being in a place with so many of them. I have to admit it was a bit thrilling and exhilarating to do this all in a safe environment, however, I do not suggest doing this outside of a professional setting. I'd also like to add that I do not condone nor support any sort of gun violence and am very aware of the dangers of guns.
December 20, 2020 - I remember feeling really proud about this moment because I was able to buy myself a new iPhone with the money I'd made from brand partnerships. Before this, I had an iPhone 7 that had major technical issues and I was in need of an upgrade for so long so when I started generating an income from content creation I treated myself to a new phone. This device is how I manage to get my work done so it was an essential upgrade and I take care of it like you wouldn't believe!
December 24, 2020 - This year for the holidays my entire family and I went to Salt Lake City, Utah for the first time and it was so much fun. I share more about this trip in this blog post.
January 20, 2021 - On this day I launched my first ever limited edition Lightroom Mobile preset and it was such a big deal for me because it was the first-ever product I was selling on my own so it was very exciting but also nerve-wracking. This preset is no longer available but I am so thankful to everyone who purchased it and supported this.
January 26, 2021 - For the longest time I'd had a desire to plant a garden and so I went out to Lowes and bought the supplies I needed to get this done. The entire process was very therapeutic and grounding for me, I truly enjoyed it and I hope to do more gardening this fall/winter since the weather is nice out during that time of year.
February 7, 2021 - Let me start off by saying that going on this Discover Flight was so much fun and I definitely want to do it again! On this day my husband and I rode a plane with a pilot and my husband was a co-pilot, and we flew around the Northside of Houston and it was beautiful seeing the city from above. It took us about 15-minutes to fly from Spring to Lake Conroe which is a 45-minute commute in a car. Overall this was such a wonderful experience!
February 11, 2021 - One of the biggest work collaborations I had this year was working with Toyota. I partnered with them during this Valentine's Day campaign and the brand loaned me an all-new 2021 Toyota Corolla Hatchback for about two weeks and it was so much fun. By the end of the two weeks, I was absolutely OBSESSED with the car. Working with Toyota was such a pleasure, the team I worked with was amazing, and it made this experience that much more memorable.
February 15, 2021 - Houston was hit with a major snowstorm during the month of February and it was bizarre! Southern Texas does not get normally get snow or anywhere near below freezing temperatures so this was definitely a historical moment. Having no power or running water for days was no fun and anxiety-inducing for me, but getting to play in the snow and taking in the change of scenery was nice and those positive moments are what I choose to remember from this experience.
February 27, 2021 - This year we gave a lot of love back to our house. And during this week we refinanced our house to decrease our interest rate and installed new flooring in the main area of our house. Changing out the flooring made a world of a difference. For about a month it felt like a completely new place. Click here to watch my TikTok of the before and after. Later this year, on July 13, 2021, we installed new custom bathroom vanities. Click here to see the transformation of the bathroom.
May 3, 2021 - I got vaccinated!! The vaccine I got was the Pfizer vaccine and it was so quick and painless, I personally did not experience any symptoms with my first dose. When I got my second dose a few weeks later, I did experience some symptoms the following morning like headache and major fatigue. The symptoms were tolerable and lasted for one day, when I woke up the next morning I was back to normal.
May 5, 2021 - My husband and I joined a gym owned by a friend of ours and to date, it's been the best decision we've made for our health. This is a smaller gym, and it has such a good environment, the members there are really friendly, and it's more like a community of people that all know each other versus an establishment full of strangers that make you feel uncomfy. I look forward to going there, socializing with the members, and zoning into my workouts.
May 7, 2021 - I met up with my very first Instagram friend, @mariidix, for the first time, and for me, being someone who struggles with social and generalized anxiety, this was a pretty big deal because I really stepped out of my comfort zone. And I am so glad I did because I made a very kind friend out of this experience and we actually met up for a second time on August 5, 2021, only weeks before her move back to Atlanta.
I, unfortunately, don't have any photos from this event but still wanted to include this moment on this list.
May 8, 2021 - On this day I got my very first hydrafacial and it was an experience, let me just say. I'd been wanting to try this for such a long time because I'd seen how it'd clear out impurities from the skin and at the end of the session you can actually see everything the machine sucked out of the skin in a container. As someone who deals with problematic and acne-prone skin, I was really looking forward to seeing a lot of gunk in the container after my session but was pretty disappointed when I didn't see much, even the aesthetician was surprised. But what I wasn't disappointed with were my results a few days later. I'd never seen my pores look so clean. Even though it was somewhat of a painful process I would definitely do it again!
May 15, 2021 - This has to be the highlight of my 27th year of life. On this day, I adopted this seven-pound Scottish Terrier mix named Loki. After months of searching pet adoption locations for a pet who was the right fit for my husband and me, the universe blessed us with what I was looking for at the right time. The way we adopted Loki was actually through a friend of my sister's boyfriend. He was looking for someone to take him in and my sister immediately let me know and without hesitation, I said yes. We met him and I instantly felt like Loki was meant to be a part of our family. I am beyond grateful and thankful each day to have him. He is what I call my therapy dog because he has helped my mental health so much, he has brought so much light and joy into my life. Words cannot express the love I have for this little guy.
May 30, 2021 - My husband and I attended a couple of social events held by our gym this year, the first being a holiday BBQ party at the gym owner's house on this day. Members of the gym were there and it was a fun time, we socialized, played games, and ate delicious food. The second event was a beach day with the same group of people on August 1, 2021, and that was a lot of fun too.
So those were only a few moments from my 27th year of life that I thought were worth sharing with you.
I'd like this to be the start of an annual tradition where I take a moment to reflect and re-live all of the wonderful moments I experience each year as it'd be a good way to track any and all adventures, life events, as well as my own personal growth. I'm very much looking forward to year 28 and hope it will be filled with more blessings and wonderful moments.
I hope you enjoyed looking back at 27 with me. Thank you for taking some time out of your day to visit my blog. I appreciate you more than you'll ever know! Until next time friends, take care.
