I recently spent a week in Dallas while I accompanied my husband on a work trip and I thought I'd compile all of the content that I created while I was there and share a bit about the trip here on the blog!

We stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Love Field, which is 10 minutes outside of downtown
Dallas, for 6 nights and the hotel was really nice. The rooms were newly renovated with an all-new modern design which was a nice surprise. Our hotel room was comfortable, and spacious, and felt like a home away from home. Here is a tour of our hotel room:

Because I knew we were staying for nearly a week I wanted to make myself as comfortable as possible and so I unpacked our suitcases entirely and put everything in its newly designated area.

While my husband was away at work, I worked remotely from the hotel so I spent a lot of time in our hotel room. But thanks to it being so spacious and having an "office corner", I didn't mind it at all. In fact, I started pretending that we lived in a studio apartment in a new city to make it feel a little more like home and less like a foreign place.

Something that helped me further play into this world of pretending was having my normal morning routine that I do back home which consists of tidying up my space before starting my day. Here is a glimpse of my morning routine while in Dallas:

During our stay we tried several new food and restaurants, my favorite being the Pad Thai from Sabaidee a Loa and Thai Street Food restaurant not far from the hotel. I highly recommend trying it if you're ever in the Dallas area. Truthfully, I still think about their Pad Thai to this day! 😅

Now because this was a business trip we didn't get to do much exploring or sightseeing in Dallas so most of our days consisted of working from 8-5, going out for dinner after, then unwinding for the rest of the night to do it all over again the next day. Because of this, I didn't get much content of the in-between, apart from a few video clips that I will include at the end of the blog post.

The next time I picked up my camera was to film a get-ready with me on our last day.

Then it was time to pack up all of our belongings before checking out at noon and making the nearly four-hour drive back home to Houston.

That rounds up my trip to Dallas, Texas. Overall it was a comfortable stay and in several ways necessary for my own personal growth.
