Easter Weekend Recap

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a Happy Easter and an overall great weekend. In today's blog post I thought I'd share what I did over my three-day weekend because...why not! :)

Friday morning I was able to sleep in which made me very happy and I woke up hungry per usual. Am I the only one who wakes up starving every morning? Let me know down in the comments if this happens to you too. Luckily, I remembered that I could get free Chick-fil-A breakfast thanks to my Chick-fil-A app. I highly recommend you download the Chick-fil-A app if you eat there frequently because they really do hook it up with free food!! After breakfast I cleaned up around the house a bit, did a load of laundry then my husband and I had to run some errands. When we arrived back home I headed to the gym for an afternoon workout then did yoga and meditation in the backyard. The weather was absolutely beautiful outside too! Later on in the evening my husband and I went out to a friends party, had a good time and stayed out pretty late.

On Saturday morning my husband and I woke up quite late, as one usually does when they're out parting the night before. We had breakfast at one of our favorite taco shops where we tried a homemade pineapple and cucumber lemonade for the first time. It was the most refreshing and delicious beverage I've ever had. After breakfast we went out and did some house hunting around the area for a few hours, we're looking to buy our first home but we haven't found the right one within our price range just yet. We checked out new construction homes that are in the process of being built and it gave us ideas of what we want and don't want in our future home. Later in the afternoon we went to the gym, did a quick workout then came home and got ready to go on a long motorcycle ride. My husband took me out on his sports bike and we rode through the Sam Houston National Forest which was so pretty and scenic. I wish I had taken photographs to share with you. We ended up in a small town called Richards about an hour away from home where the scenery was completely different from where we first started. Riding a bike for a long period of time can be tiring and exhausting which we were when we arrived back home so we decided to stay in that night.

We spent most of Easter Sunday at my parents house. My husband and I made a variety of sushi for the family which they very much enjoyed. Maybe I'll write a blog post on how we made sushi at home, it's super easy and very inexpensive! After many hours of hanging out with the family and playing with Jules the puppy - whose grown so much in such a short amount of time, we drove back home and relaxed for the rest of the day.

Overall it was a great weekend! We did a lot, stayed busy and had the opportunity to hang out with family and friends which is always a blessing. That's pretty much what went down during my three-day Easter weekend, I hope you enjoyed reading today's blog post. Have a great week! Until next time friends, take care.
