How I Film + Edit my IGTV Videos

 WATCH MY IGTV VIDEO HERE

Over the last few weeks, I've been getting lots of messages with questions in regards to my IGTV videos so I decided to gather the top 3 most commonly asked questions and answered them in today's post. Let's jump right into it!

Q: What do you use to film your videos?
A: I use my iPhone 7 to film my videos because of it's auto-focusing capabilities. I was using my Nikon D5200 DSLR camera to film but found it very difficult to record with it because it didn't have auto-focusing capabilities. There is nothing more frustrating than filming an entire video then reviewing the file on the computer and realizing it's entirely out of focus and not usable footage. I will say however the biggest pro of using my DSLR camera was being able to adjust the lighting settings as wherewith an iPhone I can't do that. Other equipment that I use when filming is a tripod with an iPhone holder and studio lights. (See my filming setup over on today's IGTV video)

Q: What do you use to edit your videos?
A: I use the iMovie editing software, it's free for Apple users and available to download on most Apple devices. I find it the easiest to edit on my laptop. I have the Macbook Pro. I learned how to edit by watching YouTube tutorials, reading blog posts, and of course, it took lots of trial and error but practicing is the key. I'll link a tutorial and blog post that helped me learn how to edit below.

Q: Where do you find music for your videos?
A: The easiest place to find music for me is by searching 'copyright free music' on YouTube. They have tons of songs and videos that usually have downloadable links in the description box of the video. I'll link a few of my favorite copyright free music channels below.

Those were the answers to my most commonly asked questions. If you have additional questions, feel free to ask and I'll happily answer. I hope you found today's blog post helpful. Until next time friends, take care!
