Hello loves! Today I wanted to share with you all my top 10 most used makeup brushes that I cannot do my makeup without! I think each of these tools are very essential when it comes to applying your makeup. The majority of these brushes are relatively inexpensive so they would be perfect for those just starting off. Let's get started...
Starting off with face brushes these 5, are without a doubt, my most used face brushes in my collection because they work brilliantly. From to left to right I have my
● MAC 150 Brush* (purchased from a flee market, not a real MAC brush)
Now let's get into the details and my thoughts on each tool...
Starting from the top...
♥ Real Techniques Blush Brush. In my opinion this brush easily applies blush to the apples of my cheeks. It makes my blush go on smoothly, it doesn't look blotchy in any way, it's super soft and I love the domed shape tip it has. I also think this tool can be used to apply a soft contour to the cheeks because of the tips shape.
♥ Sigma Flat Kabuki F80 foundation brush. Let me start by saying that if you want your foundation to be full coverage this foundation brush will be your best friend. I swear every time I use this foundation brush it makes my skin look flawless because it really covers any scarring or discoloration I have on my skin. The brush hairs are so dense and packed together it allows you to really build up the foundation to the coverage you desire. My favorite way to apply my foundation with this brush is just by patting it onto my skin. Personally swirling, rubbing or swiping the brush does not give me the full coverage effect however by patting the foundation onto my skin with this tool it can cover up everything.
♥ Fake MAC 150 brush. I purchased this brush from a flee market about 8 years ago and my love for this brush is still going strong. I like that it's so big and fluffy it makes bronzing or setting my skin super simple it also blends my bronzer to perfection.
♥ e.l.f. Blush Brush. It clearly states that this is a blush brush but, I love using this brush to set my concealer. The way the brush tip is shaped it perfectly fits under my eye area so I can set or bake around my eyes, nose, chin or anywhere else I apply concealer.
♥ Real Techniques Setting Brush. Personally no other brush applies highlight to the cheekbones as good as this one. It does an amazing job at depositing product onto the skin. Before this brush I was using a fan brush but quickly stopped as soon as I purchased this one because with this brush your highlight is literally going to be on fleek!
Moving on to the eyes. These are my top 5 eye brushes because they get the job done and blend eyeshadow flawlessly. From left to right I have the
From the top...
♥ Sigma E40 Tapered Blending brush. The best all around blending brush I have ever owned, it effortlessly blends and diffuses shadows, it's size is perfect to blend out anything and everything.
♥ Zoeva 231 Luxe Petit Crease. This makeup brush is great to apply concentrated product onto my crease. It's small, pointed at the tip and fits just right in my crease blending my work out like magic.
♥ Zoeva 230 Luxe Pencil. My favorite pencil brush ever. It's not too big, not too small, not too fluffy but not too dense. It's just the right amount of softness to really blend and smoke out your lower or upper lash line.
♥ Zoeva 227 Luxe Soft Definer brush. In my opinion this brush is great for adding shadow to the crease. The deposit of the shadow won't be as much as if you used the Zoeva 231 but not as little as you would get if you used the Sigma E40. In other words, it's the perfect brush in-between the Zoeva 231 and Sigma E40.
♥ Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush. This brush is great for the applying shadow to the lid it really packs and applies the eyeshadow to my liking and it can also be used to apply shadow to the brow bone and inner corner.
I believe that all the brushes mentioned in this post are great for beginners or any makeup lover because as I mentioned all if not most of these makeup tools are affordable. I have provided the links for each brush listed above so be sure to click over the brush name to get prices if you are interested.
