Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit Review

After months and months of waiting to get my hands on this beauty I can officially say I am a proud owner of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit. I've had this contour kit for a few months now but the quest to actually buy it was a struggle. For weeks I tried to purchase this baby on www.anastasiabeverlyhills.com but it was always sold out. When I heard Sephora was going to carry them for a limited time in-stores I immediately jumped at the opportunity to buy it.This product retails for $40.00 and includes 2 matte highlighting powders, 1 shimmery highlighting powder and 3 matte contouring powders.

These powders are all held in a reusable black sturdy, slim and lightweight palette that closes magnetically. What do I mean by reusable? Once you've used up a shade completely you can easily pop the pan out and replace it with a new one just by sticking your finger in the little indention on the side of each shade.

Now let's talk about these luxurious shades, shall we?

Let me just start by saying that all the shades in this palette are ultra smooth, super pigmented and blend beautifully.

Vanilla is a pink under-toned matte highlighter great for those out there with pink undertones (obviously) you can use it to set and brighten under the eyes, forehead, chin, and other preferred areas.
Banana is a yellow under-toned matte highlighter perfect for those with yellow undertones (like myself) you can also use this to set and brighten areas you'd like highlighted.
Sand is the only shimmery highlighter in the palette, its color is a very light pinky shimmer that looks amazing on any skin tone. You can use this to give you the "glowing" look by placing it on the high points of your face such as the cheekbones, brow bone, bridge of the nose, cupids bow and other preferred areas.
Java is a neutral toned brown almost like the shade Havana but not as red, you can use this and the following shades to contour the hallows of the cheeks, temples, nose and other preferred areas.
Fawn is a cool toned ashy brown and lastly Havana is a brown contour shade with red undertones.
I also like to use all the shades in this palette as eyeshadows. The contour shades make great crease colors and the highlighting shades make good lid and brow bone colors.

Overall I have nothing but good things to say about this product, if you're finding yourself debating whether or not to purchase this baby I say go for it! You won't be disappointed.
